Romanu' se crede boier, dar CFR-ul il crede prost, cerandu-i tarife aberante pentru conditiile de la IR si IC. Atunci e normal sa ai pretentii ca materialul rulant sa fie dat Dracu'. Daca nu ar fi diferente intre R si IC nu as mai carai nici io ca merg de la Valcea la Cluj cu Desiro (care, de multe ori, nu are buda). Si multi altii ca mine care sunt fortati sa mearga cu material rulant facut pentru drumuri de o ora timp de 7-8-10 ore. Sau cand ai de mers de la Satu Mare la Bucuresti sau chiar pana la mare in scaune de tramvai, cum sint cele din 20-49.

Do all other Malaxa 900 trains have a toilet? We have in Holland also some private lines, with trains from Arriva and Veolia, and some trains of them do also not have toilets, or the toilets in the trains are permanent closed. It's the goverment of the local region who decides which facilities a train must have. It's a bit like Romania, we have a main-rail system (NS) and some branch lines which are rented to private companies. Those branch lines didn't have enough profit for NS.

Now, all Malaxa 900 have toilets.
We have a Transport Minister's Order about what conditions must be fulfilled by the trains... and all trains must have a toilet.
However, some LVS (LVT trailer, class 79) railcars don't have a toilet... of course, you can get down in a station and move to the motor car, where you can find a toilet.

A few days ago, I took a look at the airport Amsterdam Schiphol, there is a place to remember the victims of the MH17 planecrash in Ukraine.





One day earlier I saw the list with names of the pessengers who died on that crash, and saw one name which I recognised.
I searched on some newspaper articels and I concluded that Laurens, the 30 year old man on board of the flight, was the same person. For 4 years, IŽve worked together with him in a hotel, and in that period we often did some drinks after working time together as friends. We had humor and were really good collegues. After that period (1999-2003) we go to university in different cities in the country and lost the most of contact. But to hear and see his name on the list of died persons is really strange and sad.

I thought all the roads in the Netherlands are at least paved...
I just biked about 50 km on a road like that, but in Romania we have plenty of roads (incl. national roads) in that condition.

Those roads are only accesible for bycicles and pedestrians, because it's a nature area. For me it's a welcoming situation, while indeed most roads are paved with asfalt. There is a network of cycling paths near the coastline here like this one.

There are also a lot of paths here which are only ment for pedestrians in the nature, but there you can cycle as well with a mountainbike. In the weekends there are lots of pedestrians/tourists in the nature, but on a weekday outside the holiday period you can enjoy all of them without seeing one person.

@Dr2005, maybee you'll have to come onetime to Olanda to enjoy the "bicycle paradise"

It's a good thing we still have unpaved roads because few morons are driving on them. Many villages are thus protected from the bad-mannered-garbage-leaving-behind "invading species".
Thanks for sharing the pictures with windmills. They are so elegant, similar but not identical; each has its character. I thought they used a primitive form of turbine working in reverse but the schematics shows an Archimede's screw.

Ca bine zici, Vlad. Unde sunt drumuri, sunt gunoaie.
Ceea ce pentru ei e "nature area", la noi e normal... ceea ce e destul de imbucurator, tinand cont de ceea ce ai zis mai sus.

Dragos, unde ai vazut asa drum national?! E drept ca sunt destule judetene si nationale rele, dar nu de pamant, sa fim seriosi.
